Community planting day at Queen Mary’s Woodland
We welcome all members of the community to come and join us in planting 600 spring bulbs to provide pollen and nectar early in the season for butterflies and bees. We welcome all members of the community to help shire horses Nobby and Heath make Sutton Common bloom! We will be enriching the grassland by planting wildflowers to bring pollen and nectar for bees and butterflies. Carshalton Frost Fair
Get into the festive spirit at the Carshalton Frost Fair, with Christmas craft fairs, festive food, music and more. Come and see us for a mince pie at the Sutton Nature Conservation Volunteers stall in the Ecology Centre grounds. Want to help hedgehogs, birds and other local wildlife over the cruel winter months? We can help – just ask us for advice and help yourself to our advice leaflets!
Download the leaflet and head on a self-led stroll at your own pace through the Sutton Ecology Centre. Use your leaflet as a guide, with on-site waymarkers to help you explore the butterfly and forest gardens, marshes, meadows and so much more.
SNCV Volunteer tasks are run on the following days:
- Tuesdays and Thursdays – volunteering around the borough
- Wednesdays – volunteer days at Sutton Ecology Centre
- Monthly – task days at Sutton Ecology Centre on Sundays.
